We LOVE Kids
It’s not that we don’t love dogs, we just don’t work on them!
Every one of our staff has kids and we know how to take care of them.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that your child’s first dental visit should be by 12 months of age.
Normally, the first visit consists of a thorough and complete oral examination, prophylaxis (cleaning and polishing of the teeth provided by one of our doctors), appropriate x-rays, fluoride application, oral hygiene instructions, treatment plan and parent consultation.
The parent consultation will consist of a discussion of our findings, recommendations, methods available to achieve these recommendations and an estimate of the professional fee.
We shall treat your child as we would our very own. The important objective is to do dentistry thoroughly and carefully. Dentistry for children is not a game; it is a very important health service.
Parents are welcome to accompany their children into the Dental Operatory on the first visit. After the first visit and if your child is over the age of 3, we recommend that you allow them to accompany our staff through the dental experience.
Studies and experience have shown that most children over the age of 3 react more positively when permitted to experience the dental visit on their own. Every possible effort will be made in our office to make the visit psychologically pleasant and educational.
We expect the parents of our patients to cooperate with these efforts for the good of their children.
